High Corporate Taxes Hurt Americans

It makes sense that high taxes on corporations would hurt Americans because the cost gets passed onto the consumer in the form of higher prices on their goods.   • I still don't understand why people can't see that businesses don't pay taxes. Their customers are the ones paying the taxes. All you have to do is follow the money. Wake up people! We would be a much more prosperous nation (if not the most prosperous) if we ELIMINATED taxes on businesses. Not to mention, much more innovative.
  • I always try to encourage people to imagine themselves in the place of the entrepreneurs. So you've just invented something and you want to setup a company, but you realize that your profits are going to be taxed at ridiculous rates. It will certainly affect your decision whether to pursue that invention or keep your day job. Once your company gets large enough you'll have to hire more people and pay all the taxes that go along with that too.

    The power to regulate is the power to tax. The power to tax is the power to destroy. By taxing corporations and labor we reduce the amount in the marketplace.
